P.I.P.E.S.
P.I.P.E.S., Partners in Parenting Education, classes promote positive relationships with strong emotional ties between primary caregivers and infants/toddlers, thereby enhancing social and emotional competence in the child.  The classes are typically held in a one-on-one situation but can take place in a group setting with similarly aged children. Parents learn how babies communicate and how they can learn to read their baby.  They learn about the importance of reading to their child and the use of music and rhythm.  The activities are child centered and the lessons include sharing a concept, handouts for the parents, and time to practice the lesson by playing games with the child.

Who is this class appropriate for?
Concepts presented in the topics apply to children through age 5, also for expectant mothers.
